A BOD's structure is depicted in Figure 2.1, “BOD Structure” . A BOD will always be made up of the ApplicationArea, DataArea, Noun and components.

A typical BOD will have the following message hierarchy:

The Application Area is standard across the BODs. Every BOD may have a different set of verbs that can be used with it. The verbs describes the various actions that can occur. More detail about these components can be found in the appropriate sections with in this guideline.
